What We Are

The Bonda Report is a portal for tracking environmental news for those who would like to stay informed but lack the time to peruse the ever-growing number of resources. Articles are gathered on every conceivable topic that deals with the environment. New material is added from a wide variety of national and international print and web-based sources – mainstream media, private newsletters, government publications and journals.

We also provide direct links to many of the sources we use to gather our news, making Bonda Report a convenient entry to the media.

We welcome suggested news from our visitors. To become a contributor, click here, and start submitting news to Bonda Report.

Who We Are

We don’t have offices, a physical address or a corporation. Bonda Report is run by Sam Leppanen as the chief editor. Sam was the lead developer of the site when it was created in its original form. He then continued on as chief contributor to the site. Years later the name was changed to greenatworktoday.com and so Bondareport.com was not used for a few years.

Some other key contributors/developers from the past were Marko Vidberg and Chris Walls. Charlotte Vann was the lead director of the site till midway through 2005, she made sure that it stayed on track.

BondaReport.com was registered in late 2002, it was meant to clone the drudge report. John Clark suggested the idea of a drudge style environmental website. The name Bonda came from our first editor of the site, Penny Bonda. She was a founding Chair of both the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Commercial Interiors Committee and the ASID Sustainable Design Council. Also the past president of the American Society of Interior Designers.

Today Bonda Report is continuing on as a breaking news source. With father and son team working on the site. Nicholas Leppanen as lead contributor with Sam as chief editor and developer.

We continue to be partnered with green@work. More information is available on their website: www.greenatwork.com
